A Big Mistake

I've made some bad decisions, but I made a big one this week. My husband and I were getting ready for a kid's service at the church Wednesday. We didn't have time to cook dinner, so we decided to grab something to go. If you are in education, then you know the paycheck doesn't come until the end of the month, so we were thinking cheap. My husband thought the grocery store was best, so we ran in and I found a pack of deviled eggs that were marked down. I know you're thinking this is a bad idea. What is worse is that I thought the same thing and ignored it. I grabbed the eggs and gobbled them down, only to to start feeling a little under the weather. By the next day, I was starting to feel really sick. I made it to the end of the day with my coworkers mentioning I should see a doctor. By evening, my husband and daughter were adamant that I needed to go to the ER. They wanted to make sure it wasn't a heart attack. After sitting in a waiting room and then a room for hours, the doctor concluded it was something intestinal. It wasn't until the next day at work, as nausea and pain radiated through my body that I remembered the eggs! Now, several days later and still feeling awful, I've learned to never buy discounted deviled eggs. McDonald's would have been cheaper than an ER. Also, when you hear that still small voice tell you not to do something, listen. It may save you a lot of heartache, or in this case, stomachache.

Have a great week high-heeled warriors!
